Mommy/Daddy & Me Classes
Infant Massage

Infant Massage Class now taught by your ten toes instructors! Certified through the Loving Touch Foundation with the designation of CIMI (Certified Infant Massage Instructor).

It is never too late or too early to begin massage. Evidence-based practice supports the use of infant massage. Whether your baby is a newborn or several years old, massage can bring immediate and lasting results. Pregnant parents often take the class in advance so they are ready to begin massage right from birth.

Benefits for parents / caregivers and children include:
  • Using all of the intimate parent-infant bonding and attacment: eye-to-eye, touch, voice, smell, movement and thermal regulation
  • Encourages pre-verbal communication between caregiver and infant
  • Helps parents feel more confident and competent in caring for their children
  • Helps parents to ease their stress if they are a working parent and must be separated from their children for extended periods during the day
  • Provides parents with one-on-one quiet time or interactive play with their children
  • Gives parents a special way to interact with their children who may be hospitalized. Helps parents feel a greater part of the healing process
  • Daily massage helps parents to unwind and relax
  • Innumerable benefits to the babies and children including better overall GI function (reducing colic, gas, constipation), relaxation, self- regulation to reduce crying, improves circulation, normalize tone, improve sensory and body awareness, enhance neurological development, improve sleeping patterns, increasing oxygen to the cells, improve pain management, and so much more!
