Leslie Potenciano grew up in Queens, NY. She attended St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY under a Presidential Scholarship. She was accepted into the accelerated Physician Assistant program where she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science Degree along with her Physician Assistant Certification in 1999.
Her Physician Assistant career has always been in the Obstetric and Gynecological field. She initially worked at the Women’s Health Center of Jamaica Hospital and moved on to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where she received much of her training, performing and assisting in hundreds of vaginal and cesarean deliveries. She is currently employed in Richmond University Medical Center (formerly St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center) on Staten Island.
Leslie has always been fascinated with learning and higher education. She pursued her Lamaze Certification in 2003 and has since been holding private Lamaze classes. She also actively maintains her Real Estate License in NJ (her husband, Peter Potenciano, is a full time REALTOR in NJ), and graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Masters in Business Administration in March 2009. She also became a Certified Red Cross Instructor for First Aid and CPR for adults, children and infants. She passed her board examination for lactation consultation is now a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Leslie is a member of various medical and business organizations.
Leslie is married to her husband Pete Potenciano, and they are the proud parents of their son, Rayfe. They will be expecting their second child in March 2009. She enjoys most outdoor activities and traveling with her family.

I believe that all women should expect and be provided premium health services regardless of race, color, nationality or religion. Empathy, compassion, patience, motivation and friendliness are the ideals I teach and practice under. It is my hope that our clients will be comfortable with my style and that they will return for future sessions and/or refer our services to family and friends.
